How To Tell Which of Your Installed macOS Apps Are 32-Bit. Click the Apple logo in the upper left hand corner of your Mac’s Desktop, and click on “About This Mac” in the menu that appears. Click “System Report” on the About Screen that appears. When the System Report screen shows, scroll down in the left-hand panel to the “Software” section. Click on “Applications.” All of the Applications installed on your Mac will appear in a list. Check the apps downloaded from Mac App Store, Identified Developer or Unknown categories to easily find the 32-bit apps. You can clearly see the Kind will show as “32-bit (Unsupported) indicating the app will no more work on your Mac. We were able to see which apps were 32 bit and 64 bit from here. Again, Apple no longer supports 32-bit apps in macOS Catalina. So if you have an app that is 32 bit, it will not open on macOS Catalina. If you’re using macOS Mojave or older, when you went up to the columns here, there was one column that told you if the app was 32 bit or 64 bit.

Click the System Report button.
In the sidebar on the left, scroll down until you see the Software category, then click Applications.
